Efforts on to bring back Bangabandhu’s killers: FM

SYLHET, Mar 30 (UNB): Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said on Saturday the process to bring back all the convicted killers, including those of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, is underway to implement court verdicts.
He also said there has been much progress to bring back Noor Chowdhury, one of Bangabandhu's convicted killers, from Canada.
The Foreign Minister said he will discuss the issue of bringing back Bangabandhu's killer from the USA during his next visit there. Rashed Chowdhury, one of the killers of Bangabandhu, is now living in the USA.
He made the remarks while talking to reporters at a programme at Sylhet Government Kindergarten Primary School and hoped to bring back the killers before the birth centenary celebrations of Father of the Nation.
The Foreign Minister said the authorities should take effective steps to prevent accidents and mentioned that there is a special plan to deal with the fire and earthquake risks in Sylhet.
