Eid celebrated amid enthusiasm in Rangpur div

Muslims celebrated Holy Eid-ul-Azha on Monday amid paryers, sacrificing animals, enthusiasm and solemnity in Rangpur division. The concerned administrations and authorities ensured peaceful celebrations of the 2nd largest religious festival by taking necessary steps. Adequate number of police, Ansar-VDP, RAB forces and volunteers were deployed everywhere, including Rangpur city. The Muslims of all ages, attired in traditional Eid-dresses, offered Eid prayers and munajat seeking divine blessings of the Almighty Allah and eternal peace for departed souls of their near and dear ones and continued peace, progress and prosperity of the country, its people and Muslim Ummah. The national flag was hoisted atop all government, semi-government and private buildings and mosques, eidgahs, streets and major buildings were illuminated and decorated with colourful flags and banners inscribed with Eid Mubarak both in Bangla and Arabic. Improved diets were served to inmates of all hospitals, jails, shishu paribars, orphanages and vagrant welfare centres in Rangpur, Kurigram, Gaibandha, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Panchagarh, Thakurgaon and Dinajpur districts in the division, according to a news agency.
