Eid-e-Miladunnabi twice in 2015

The Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi will be observed in calendar year 2015 twice – the first likely on January 4, 2015, and the second on December 24, 2015, Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan informed after a Cabinet meeting on Monday. He said the Cabinet meeting approved the list of government holidays for 2015 calendar year. The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was held at the Secretariat. Briefing reporters after the meeting, Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said that there would be 15 general holidays or public holidays next year alongside 8 holidays by the executive order of the government. The 15 general holidays include 9 weekly holidays while out of the 8 holidays by executive order of the government, there would be 3 weekly holidays, the Cabinet Secretary added. Ministers and State Ministers attended the meeting while concerned secretaries were present, according to a news agency.
