There are chances of rain in parts of Bangladesh, including Dhaka city, over the next two days when the country’s Muslims will celebrate the Holy Eid-ul-Fitr. With the Shawal moon is sighted on Monday evening, Muslims will mark the end of Ramadan on Tuesday. Meteorologist SM Mahmudul Haq said parts of the country had been having moderate rainfall over the past several days. Rainy weather might prevail on Tuesday and Wednesday, he said, adding there was, however, no chance of heavy rainfall. The Met office said a low pressure lay over the Northwest Bay and adjoining coastal areas, and the monsoon was fairly active over Bangladesh. In its Tuesday’s forecast, the Met office said, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty wind was likely to occur at many places across the country.
