Eight fair price shops opened in Lakshmipur

LAKSHMIPUR, June 17 (BSS): The District Banik Samity under supervision of the joint forces opened eight fair price shops at municipality office premises in the town Saturday.
District Army Camp Commander Dewan Akbar Ali inaugurated the shops while local Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Taslimul Islam, other administrative officials and members of the Samity were present.
Rice is being sold at Tk 17 per kg, flour Tk 22 per kg, sugar Tk 29 per kg, onion Tk 17.5 per kg, potato Tk 18 per kg, soyabean oil Tk 60 per litre and Mustard oil Tk 76 per litre in the shops, sources said.
The shops would remain open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm everyday, the sources added.
