Eight held as AL stages protest march at 10 locations in city

Supporters of the banned Awami League (AL) have held protest marches in 10 different locations across the capital, demanding that the interim government step down and an end to 'false cases' against party leaders and activists, reports bdnews24.com.
The processions took place between 10:30 am and 11:30 am on Tuesday, leading to the arrests of eight people, according to police.
Around 10:30 am, The AL leaders and activists reportedly numbering in the hundreds began a march from across the road from Kurmitola General Hospital.
"They came from Kuril and headed towards Kurmitola Hospital," said Alamgir Jahan, chief of Cantonment Police Station.
Officers from Khilkhet Police Station also arrested four people from the same procession, he added.
Besides, They brought processions in the Shonir Akhra area, the Joykali Temple area of Wari, the Abahani Field area in Dhanmondi, Tejgaon Satrasta area, the Bata Signal intersection area, Bangladesh Betar area in Agargaon, the Matsya Bhaban area and the Dilkusha area of Motijheel.
