Eight held with Thai fishing trawler

CHITTAGONG, April 11: The Coast Guard members detained a Thai fishing trawler and arrested eight crews while fishing in the Bangladesh waters Thursday night. Lt Commander Md Mohiuddin, operation officer of Coast Guard east zone, said they detained FV Nannavi, along with the crews, five of whom were Thai national and three Myanmar national. The arrestees were handed over to the Karnaphuli police station in the city and a case was filed in connection with the infiltration into the country.
