Eight injured in BNP factional clashes

MUNSHIGANJ, Dec 06 (UNB): At least eight people, including a woman, were injured in clashes between two factions of the BNP in Gazaria on Friday evening over the party's nomination for the Munshiganj-3 constituency.
Several vehicles and a private office were vandalised during the violence, prompting authorities to deploy additional police as tension gripped the area. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mahmudul Hasan visited
the spot and urged all sides to maintain peaceful
coexistence.
