Eight matches were decided on the 2nd day of the EXIM Bank 20th National Men's Handball Championship Sunday morning at two city venues - Handball Stadium and Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium in Mirpur, reports UNB.
At the Handball Stadium, Rangpur DSA crushed Magura DSA by 30-7 goals (first half 13-5); Dhaka University defeated Joypurhat DSA 21-17 (first half 8-11); Faridpur DSA outclassed Chandpur DSA 20-9 (first half 9-5) and Khulna DSA beat Gopalganj DSA 15-9 first half 6-4).
At Mirpur, Mymensingh DSA earned an exciting 16-15 goals victory over Chuadanga DSA (first half 6-8); Dhaka DSA defeated Comilla DSA 25-12 (first half 9-3); Bangladesh Ansar & VDP beat Jessore DSA 20-15 (first half 10-6) and Sunamganj DSA outclassed Bagerhat DSA 23-7 (first half 9-3).
Twenty-four teams, split into twelve groups, are taking part in the first round of the meet.
