Eight shops gutted at Bagerhat

KHULNA, Nov 27: Eight shops were burnt in a fire at Andermanik Batala Market under Kachua thana of Bagerhat district Saturday evening.
The shop owners said the fire originated from a short circuit in a shop and engulfed the adjacent shops made of tin-roof and fences.
The shop owners and the local people tried to bring the flame under control.
Later fire-fighting vehicles from Bagerhat went to the spot and extinguished the fire.
