Eight students get Bank Asia higher studies scholarship

Eight meritorious students of Tarail in Kishoreganj Saturday received higher studies scholarship of Bank Asia Limited as part of the bank's corporate social responsibility, said a press release.
Bank Asia Senior Executive Vice-president (SEVP) Irteza Reza Chowdhury was present as the chief guest, while Tarail Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Yousof Ali attended the function as the special guest.
They handed over the scholarship money to the students.
A large number of people including students, teachers, journalists, businessmen and local elite attended the function.
The bank has given scholarships for higher studies to the meritorious students in the rural areas, where it has branches. A total of 42 students have been selected for the Bank Asia's higher studies scholarship for the current year.
