Eight students of Sherpur fall sick

SHERPUR, July 25 (UNB): Eight students of Sherpur Government Girls' High School fell sick during school hours Wednesday.
Sources said a student of class-IX suddenly fell unconscious with convulsion as she came out from the school toilet at about 8:00 am.
After that, seven more students of various classes fainted with convulsion one after another, said Mohosena Khatun, headmistress of the school.
On information, a medical team, led by physician Parikkhit Par, rushed to the school and treated the students. Later, they were handed over to their guardians.
Authorities of the school closed the school until next Saturday following the mass illness of its students.
