Ekram murder suspect held

Law enforcers arrested nother suspect in the murder of Phulgazi Upazila Chairman Ekramul Haque in Chittagong. RAB-7 sources said ‘Ruti Sohel’ was detained from the main entrance of Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) on Thursday afternoon. Another accused in the case, Abidul Islam, arrested earlier said during RAB interrogation that Sohel had supplied the arms used to kill Ekram, also President of the ruling Awami League’s Phulgazi unit, on May 20 in Feni town. ASP Sultana said a team of RAB-7 was taking Sohel, 25, to Feni where a press conference would be held. Ekram was shot and burned inside his car in broad daylight, according to a news agency.
