Ekram\\\'s suspected killer Shiblu surrenders to police

A local ward councillor, one of the suspected killers of Fulgazi upazila chairman Ekramul Haque, has surrendered to police in Feni. Abdullah Hil Mahmud Shiblu, the Ward-5 councillor of Feni municipality, surrendered to Sadar Model Police Station around 3:00pm. Police Super of the district Poritosh Ghosh said Shiblu surrendered to them as his name was surfaced in connection with the murder of Fulgazi upazila chairman. He said Shiblu claimed he had no link to the killing. Mentioning that they are looking into the allegation against Shiblu, the police official said Shiblu will be shown arrested in the Ekram murder case if his involvement is found in the investigation. Otherwise, he will be released, he added. Fulgazi upazila chairman Ekramul Haque Ekram was shot and burnt to death by miscreants in the Academy area of Feni town on Tuesday, according to UNB.
