Ekushey Book Fair begins in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Feb 19: An 8-day Ekushey Book Fair-2014 began at Town Hall premises in Rangpur city Tuesday afternoon. National Book Centre, Dhaka and Rangpur district administration have jointly organised the fair.
Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Delwar Bakht formally inaugurated the fair as the chief guest.
District and city level officials, civil society members, students, teachers and a large number of local people attended the function. A total of 35 stalls have been set up in the fair.
The fair will remain open for visitors from 10 am to 8 pm everyday and will continue till February 25, official sources said.
