Ekushey Padak body to sit Thursday

The cabinet committee on selecting the Ekushey Padak Awards will sit on Thursday to finalise the proposals concerning the names of recipients this year. Cabinet Secrerary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan informed this while briefing the reporters after the Cabinet meeting Monday. Replying to a query, he said the cabinet in its meeting do not give the approval, rather the cabinet committee on Ekhushey Padak select the names. Later, the Prime Mininister gives the final approval and it is considered as cabinet approval, according to a news agency.
