Elderly woman dies in Sylhet road crash

An elderly woman was killed and two other people were injured in a road accident on the Sylhet-Sunamganj highway in Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj district on Monday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Manjura Begum, 65, wife of late Abdul Kadir of Lakshmipur village in Jamalganj upazila of Sunamganj district. Witnesses said a Sylhet-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a human hauler (tempo) in Bokarbhanga area, leaving Manjura, passenger of the auto-rickshaw, dead on the spot and two others injured, according to a news agency.
