Election schedule for JU senate-teachers' reps announced

The Jahangirnagar University (JU) administration has finally announced the schedule for the election of teachers' representatives in the Senate, the highest policy-making forum of the university.
The announcement was conveyed in a circular signed by Abu Hasan, the Acting Registrar and Returning Officer for the Election, on Thursday.
The circular states, In accordance with Section 19(1)(j) of the Jahangirnagar University Act, 1973, the election of 33 teacher representatives as Senate members will take place on October 16.
Furthermore, as per the notification, the provisional voter list will be published on September 24, and objections can be submitted until 2:00 pm on September 26.
