Elections to 3 city corpns April 28

The Election Commission has announced the schedule for the city corporation polls in Dhaka and Chittagong, report agencies.
The elections to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) will be held on April 28 next.
Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad announced the polls schedule for the three city corporation elections at a press briefing at the EC Secretariat Wednesday.
Aspirants will have to file nominations by March 28. The nomination papers will be scrutinised on April 01 and 02.
A candidate would be able to withdraw his papers until Apr 9, said the chief election commissioner during a press conference.
The announcement comes amid the BNP-led coalition's countrywide agitation demanding an interim national election under a 'non-party' government.
