Electronic goods godown gutted in Chattogram

CHATTOGRAM, Mar 20: An electronic goods godown was gutted in a fire this morning at City Gate area in the port city Chattogram. The loss of fire is estimated to be several million taka, said Fire Service sources.
Sources said, the fire incident took place at godown at around 5.45 am this morning. The fire originated from electric short circuit, they said.
There were large number electronic items including television, fan, solar panels etc which were gutted in the fire.
Fire fighting vehicles rushed to the area at around 6.30 am today and controlled the fire after one hour's effort. However, there was no casualty in the fire.
Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service Mohammed Jashim Uddin said, "The fire-fighters rushed to the spot quickly and doused the fire."
