Elimination of tariff on safety equipment

The government has decided to eliminate duty on firefighting equipment. We are sure it will encourage the common people to keep the safety equipment in their homes so that they can use those in case of emergency. We have a general tendency to show our apathy to safety rules. Safety equipment can be proved to be life saving during the time of danger. Bangladesh government wants to eliminate tariff on equipment necessary to improve safety standard of Ready Made Garments sector.
We need to create awareness among the common people about the necessity of safety and should remember that a moment of carelessness can create havoc on lives. Some tragic accidents in the RMG sector of Bangladesh have made the world consumers more conscious about the safety standard of the workers here. The world's renowned clothing brands now put much importance of safety. So, we have to change our mindset and ensure safety of everyone. The government has been moving forward and taking possible steps to address this important issue and together we will be able to create a safe environment.
