Emergency in Yemen: Dozens killed

Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh has announced a state of emergency in the country Friday. Earlier in the day, at least 39 people were killed when Yemeni security men and pro-government gunmen opened fire at an anti-government protest in Sanaa after Muslim prayers, a doctor said. The gunmen fired from rooftops overlooking the central square in what the opposition called a massacre. - BBC
