Emon takes solo lead in int'l chess

FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Emon of Basir Memorial took solo lead in the Six Seasons International Chess Tournament with full two points after the 2nd round matches at the NSC Tower on Friday, reports UNB.
FM Kh. Aminul Islam of Titas, FM Mohammad Abdul Malek of Biman and Minina Veronika of Russia followed the leader with 1.5 points each.
In the 2nd round matches, Emon beat Manodip Dhar of India, Veronika beat FM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar and Amin drew with Malek.
