The Enforcement Directorate of India on Monday interrogated award winning film director Aparna Sen and West Bengal Textile Minister Shyampada Mukherjee about Saradha Chit fund Scam. The central investigating agency asked the duo to be present at its Kolkata office for this purpose. Mukherjee is the first minister of West Bengal who was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate. He sold his cement factory to Saradha Group's Chief Sudipto Sen in 2009. The Enforcement Directorate has reportedly told Mukherjee to submit all these sale-related documents to them. After the interrogation, the minister told the media that there is no opacity in the dealings. Aparna Sen as a news magazine editor run by the company was interrogated over her involvement in Saradha Group. Aparna was associated with one of the journals 'Paroma', published by the media wing of the Saradha Group, as an editor. After facing interrogation she told reporter, ‘I was asked about the transaction of money there. I said that the transaction was not routed through me,’ according to AFP.
