Engineer shot dead in city

A textile engineer was shot to death by miscreants on Green Road in the city Tuesday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Saddin Hossain Sani (25), a textile engineer of a private company in Savar and son of Sawkat Hossain, a resident of Green Road area, hailed from Nawabganj Upazila of Dhaka district.
Police said Sani went to the house of his uncle (maternal aunt's husband) Dr Shahidul Islam Khan on Road-7 near Labaid Hospital at about 12:15am as miscreants had threatened to kill Shahidul over a mobile phone.
Sani came under attack from a group of unidentified miscreants, numbering 3-4, while he was taking tea at a tea stall in front of Labaid Hospital at around 12:45 after returning from his uncle's house.
