Enlightening future generation for inclusive growth

BUFT Model UN Association (BUFTMUNA) is one of the pinnacle student clubs in BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology, which has been a pioneer educational club to lead the students to become future leaders of the next generation. Model UN is the shadow simulation of United Nations conferences which focuses on developing the future generation of young leaders in resolving world conflicts and creating human betterment worldwide.
BUFT International Model UN Conference 2023 (BUFTIMUN23) is the second international conference hosted by BUFTMUNA with the theme of "Forging sustainable pathways by catalysing evolution in a circular economy with green technology for inclusive growth". The three-day long conference focused on sustainable economic development worldwide with the utilisation of green technologies in the industrial arena, where more than 400 students from over 19 colleges and 20 universities participated in the conference.
With the presence of the delegates, executive board members, and guests the opening ceremony of BUFTIMUN 23 began. The event started with the speech of the guests and the secretary general of BUFTIMUN 23. The guest list included the President of BGMEA, Faruque Hassan, who graced the event with his presence and insightful words regarding the textile industry. There were two more guests who also caught the attention of the audience, the former National Information Officer and head of the United Nations Information Centre, Dr Mohammad Moniruzzaman and Abdussattor Esoev (Tajikistan), chief of mission, International Organisation for Migration, UN Migration. They made the event more interesting and engaging for the delegates. The pro vice-chancellor and treasurer of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology along with many others also attended the event as guests.
This conference incorporated committees; those are the United Nations Security Council, Disarmament & International Security Committee, International Telecommunication Union, and many more. The ITU committee practised for the first time in the university MUN arena in Bangladesh. All the committee sessions had incredible solutions to the modern world problems which concluded this conference with a note of enlightening success.
BUFTIMUN 2023 was an event that started with the passion of a few enthusiastic intellects of BUFT and ended by delivering one of the most igniting conferences of International MUN in Bangladesh.
