Ensure workers-friendly environ in RMG sector: Mozena

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Dan W Mozena on Thursday observed that ensuring the workers-friendly environment is what really matters for the readymade garment (RMG) sector of the country. Responding to the reporters’ queries at a press conference at the Kushtia Circuit House, he said resumption of the GSP (Generalised System of Preferences) facility is not a big concern, but his country is looking forward to the progress made in ensuring workers-friendly environment in Bangladesh. There are problems, but those are not difficult to resolve, he added. Ambassador Mozena also added that the US wants to see Bangladesh as the number one apparels exporter in that country, according to a news agency.
