Ensuring healthy food habit

Monday, 21 March 2022

A new study has found that eating healthy could extend the lifespan by six to seven years for middle-aged adults, and by 10 years for young adults. According to the study, the ideal diet includes more legumes (beans, peas and lentils), whole grains (oats, barley and brown rice) and nuts, and less red and processed meat.
The food habit, we are following, however, does not exactly follow the food items mentioned above. Instead, we are becoming more dependent day by day on processed and junk foods. In this situation, we must create awareness of the need for eating healthy and ensuring that our children have the right kind of food habit.
