Ensuring rights of youths underscored

Speakers at a seminar Monday said that young people have to be more aware of their rights and duties for national development and safeguarding its values.
The state has to ensure educational, social, recreational and religious activities of the youths who are mostly non political by nature for the grater benefit of the country, said Subhan Chowdhury, a political risk analyst of Asia division of Exclusive Analysis, a UK firm.
He was presenting a key note paper at a seminar tiled "Roles and Responsibilities of Youth Towards Safeguarding the National Values, Images and Interests" South Asia Youth for Peace and Prosperity Society and Anthropology Debating Club of Dhaka University (DU) jointly organised the programme in the capital.
