Entrepreneurs urged to invest in IT sector

Bangladesh High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Saida Muna Tasneem has called on Bangladeshi-British entrepreneurs to increase their investment in the IT sector of Bangladesh, reports BSS.
"There are currently about six lakh IT-based freelancers in Bangladesh. By using them, British-Bangladeshi entrepreneurs can strengthen their business relationship with the country," she said.
The envoy spoke at a function marking the 'Digital Bangladesh Day-2019' at the Bangladesh High Commission in London on Thursday, said a press release issued on Friday.
Saida Muna Tasneem said the Bangladesh High Commission has taken an initiative to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UK in the next year regarding the IT sector.
