Viyellatex Group chairman has emphasised environment-friendly sustainable textile manufacturing which would save water, energy and time and at the same time would increase production.
While explaining it, David Hasanat, chairman of Viyellatex Group, one of the leading textile conglomerates of the country, said that sustainable manufacturing means environmentally, socially and economically sustainable industrialisation.
He said that underground water preservation is now at stake and the fossil fuel of the world would come to an end in the near future.
"So, considering the alarming symptoms, we should look for other sustainable energy very soon and should be cautious about water preservation," Hasanat said.
He was speaking at the launching programme of 'Avitera SE & Eriopon LT Dyeing' by Huntsman Textile Effects, a multi-national dyeing and chemical company.
Huntsman and its local agent Swiss Colours jointly organised the event titled 'A sustainable innovation customer event'.
Rohit Agarwal, vice-president, Apparel and Home Textiles, Syed Mohammad Ismail, sales head (in Bangladesh) of Huntsman Textile Effects, Akhter Hossain, managing director of Swiss Colours, and chief guest David Hasanat spoke at the programme.
Rohit Agarwal made a corporate presentation on Huntsman's activity and future of its business in Bangladesh.
"This new ground breaking technology, which allows 50 per cent and more water and energy saving, is an opportunity for mills, brands and retailers to make a real difference," said Rohit Agarwal.
He said, "Avitera SE dyes and Eriopon LT have a unique set of properties that ensure much lower processing costs, yet high quality results and greatly improved environmental acceptability. All of these benefits make a key contribution to sustainability in textile processing."
David Hasanat exhibited the role model of a sustainable textile industry which, he claimed, had already been initiated by Viyellatex Group while he was speaking on the need and importance of sustainable textile manufacturing for Bangladesh.
He invited everyone to visit his environmentally sustainable industry and assured he would help every eager one in introducing the technology which saves time, water and energy.
Representatives from textile mills, brands and retailers and academic institutes also attended the programme.
The programme started with a welcome address by Akhtar Hossain and ended with a vote of thanks by Syed Mohammad Ismail.
