FE REPORT | Wednesday, 15 July 2026
Envoy Textiles Ltd, the world's first LEED Platinum-certified denim fabric mill, has increased its annual denim fabric production capacity to 60 million yards from 52 million yards after completing upgrades to its upstream production facilities and introducing automation.
The company's board of directors acknowledged the enhanced production capacity at its 254th meeting held on Tuesday, according to a price-sensitive information (PSI) disclosure filed with the stock exchanges.
The company said the additional capacity has already been brought into commercial production.
According to the disclosure, the expansion was achieved through upgrades to selected upstream production facilities and process automation, removing production bottlenecks and enabling the company to fully utilise its existing downstream processing capacity.
M Saiful Islam Chowdhury, company secretary of Envoy Textiles, said the company invested nearly Tk 400 million to expand its weaving, dyeing and fabric finishing capacities, alongside introducing process automation. The investment was made in different phases around the last fiscal.
He said the company installed 40 new looms to replace ageing machines, raising the total number of looms to around 376 and improving overall production efficiency.
The dyeing capacity has also been expanded in line with the increased weaving capacity to ensure balanced production across the manufacturing chain, he added.
According to Chowdhury, the additional capacity has been in commercial use since the final quarter of FY2025-26.
The company's revenue stood at Tk 18.63 billion, according to its annual report for FY2024-25.
