EPZ workers' trade union rights extended until 2010

The trade union rights of the workers in the country's export processing zones (EPZs) have been extended up to October 31, 2010. The Council of Advisers at a meeting Tuesday approved a proposal in this regard to amend the EPZ Workers and Industry Relations Act 2004. According to the existing act, the trade union rights of the workers in the EPZs will expire on October 31 next year. — UNB
