Eradication of TB through popularising DOTS stressed

NABABGANJ (Dinajpur), Oct 4 (BSS): Speakers at a meeting at Nababganj stressed the need for bringing all tuberculosis (TB) patients under the direct observe treatment short-course (DOTS) programme for eradicating the TB from society.
BRAC and Nababganj Upazila administration jointly organised the meeting of upazila DOTS committee under the social health project at upazila parishad auditorium Sunday.
With UNO of Nababganj Ebrahim Khan in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by upazila health and family planning officer Emar Uddin Kayes, agriculture officer Mohammad Selim, principal Abdul Hakim,. UP chairmen Nazmul Haque and Tarikul Islam.
Government officials, NGO activists, UP chairmen and members, local elite, members of upazila DOTS committee and journalists took part at the meeting.
