Ershad \\\'avoids\\\' JP Parliamentary Party meeting at Raushan\\\'s office

Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad has avoided a meeting of parliamentary party at Opposition Leader Raushan Ershad’s office at Jatiya Sangsad (parliament) Bhaban. HM Ershad He attended Sunday's session in Parliament but skipped the meeting on the same premises. Apart from the JP chief, party’s Secretary General Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu and Water Resources Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud were also absent in the meeting that took place amid the internal feud in the JP. They were with Ershad in his room when the meeting was underway. Apart from them, five others of 35 party MPs did not join the meeting presided over by Raushan. However, Presidium Member Md Mujibul Haque Chunnu at a press briefing after the meeting claimed that there was no division in the JP. He said they were unified under the leadership of HM Ershad and Raushan Ershad, according to a news agency.
