Ershad says he did not join Jan 5 polls

Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on Wednesday claimed that he did not join the January 5 national election and he was kept confined to hospital forcefully. “I didn’t join the election…I was kept confined to hospital forcefully,” he told a rally at Chaparhat High School ground in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat in the afternoon, according to a news agency.
