Essential Drugs signs deal with Popular Infusions

Essential Drugs Company Limited (EDCL), the only state-owned pharmaceuticals manufacturer of the country, has signed a 'Toll Manufacturing Agreement' with Popular Infusions Limited (PIL) in the city Wednesday, according to a press release.
EDCL Director (Operations) Md Feroze-ul Alam and PIL Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dr Pinaki Bhattacharya signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
EDCL Managing Director Dr M Kadrul Huda and other senior officials of both the companies were present at the signing ceremony.
Under the deal, the PIL will manufacture selective intravenous saline for EDCL.
