Essentials price spiral

Despite thegovernment's fixing the price of potato, a section of traders are charging higher prices for it. In some marketspotato is sellingTk 30 a kilogram. The item was selling even at Tk 50-55 a kg. Those dishonest traders are unfortunately taking advantage of the coronavirus situation when most people have lost their income.
Apart from potato, the prices of other daily essentials such as cooking oil and fish continue to go up. Lower and middle income people are grappling with the situation. Under the circumstances, the government should act immediately to check the price spiral, especially by opening alternative windows so that none can manipulate the market prices.
