Ethnic communities demand ensuring legitimate rights

RAJSHAHI, Aug 9 (BSS): Speakers at a post-rally discussion here today unequivocally called for ensuring legitimate rights of the ethnic community people for their peaceful existence in society.
They said the living and livelihoods of the ethnic community people have become vulnerable as they are being subjected to frequent repression and harassment.
Stressing the need for protecting the rights of the ethnic minority people they said importance should be given on protecting the underprivileged people from all sorts of deceptions.
Anagrasar Samaj Unnayan Sangstha (ASUS) organized the discussion at Safawang Community Center in the city to mark the International Adibashi Day.
Pro-Vice-chancellor of Rajshahi University Prof Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan and Deputy Commissioner Mejbah Uddin Chowdhury addressed the discussion as the chief and special guests.
