Eti clinches wushu gold for Bangladesh

Eti Islam of Bangladesh grabbed the women's 52 kg gold medal in the discipline of Wushu at Sylhet BKSP Saturday, reports BSS.
In the gold medal decider Eti outplayed Wasnthi Lakmali to hung the gold medal around her neck.
Eti's feat initiated a jubilant atmosphere in the sports arena of the country as it came at the end of the day to take the tally to three golds for the hosts in a single day.
Eti's performance saved the blushes of the hosts as Bashana Khandoker the other gold medal prospect of the country failed to rise on the occasion. Bashana won the bronze in the womens 60 kg along with Nepal's Jharna Gurung. Fahmida Yasmin Arju the other Bangladeshi player in the womens 48 kg also failed to lift her level finishing third.
Sanathoi Devi of India won the gold of the 48 kg, the silver went to Zahra Orya, while W. Sandhya Rani of India grabbed the gold of 60 kg, while the silver was won by Surya Salahsur of Afghanistan.
