ETP must for new Dhaka buildings

The government on Wednesday decided not to allow the construction of commercial or private buildings in Dhaka unless they install effluent treatment plants (ETP). The decision came at a meeting chaired by Housing and Public Works Minister Mosharraf Hossain. The meeting was held to review the detailed area plan (DAP) of Dhaka. ‘RAJUK has been instructed on the matter. From today, no construction will be allowed without the setting up of ETP,’ the minister said, according to bdnews24.com.
