EU delegation due in Khulna to inspect shrimp processing

KHULNA, Oct 18: A two-member delegation of the European Union (EU) will pay a three-day visit to Khulna beginning today (Friday) to inspect the quality of shrimp production and processing. The delegation from EU's Food and Veterinary Mission that arrived in Dhaka Tuesday will visit shrimp hatcheries, fish-feed production centres and shrimp processing factories in the district.
The delegation will report to the EU headquarters on the standard of shrimp production and processing. Shrimp traders said the EU delegation's visit will help develop the country's shrimp sector. — UNB
