EU to give Euro 205m for pry edn

The European Union (EU) will provide Euro 205.50 million as grant.
In this regard the EU signed a deal with the Bangladesh government Tuesday in Dhaka.
The assistance will be utilised for the country's primary and mass education development.
Economic Relations Division (ERD) Secretary Monowar Ahmed and EU Ambassador in Bangladesh Ms Rensje Teerink signed the grant deal in Dhaka Tuesday.
Under the "Human Capital Development Programme for Bangladesh 2021", the resources will be utilised by the Primary and Mass Education Minister.
According to the programme, Euro 150 million will be used for general education in the primary level while another Euro 50 million for Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
Bangladesh government is implementing the Primary Education Development Programme (PEDP)-4 for the development of the country's education sector.
