European Union (EU) Ambassador to Bangladesh Pierre Mayaudon has said the EU is willing to increase its support in ensuring child rights in Bangladesh and help implement the Children Act 2013. ‘At this moment, our ongoing projects benefiting Bangladeshi children amount to 180 million Euro in grants. We’re willing to increase our support under our future cooperation,’ he said in a presentation of the EU engagement on children’s rights. The diplomat said the EU did very much welcome the adoption of the Children Act 2013 and they consider this a major breakthrough in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, said a media release on Sunday.
