FE Report | Monday, 2 June 2008
The Head of the European Union Delegation in Bangladesh, Stefan Frowein, Sunday urged the local entrepreneurs to explore new markets in Latin America, Africa and emerging Asian countries instead of the traditional markets of Bangladeshi products.
He was speaking at a meeting in Chittagong, the port city, with leaders of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).
He also said nations in the European Union are in a process of introducing 'Blue Cards' for hiring skilled labour and professionals from developing nations.
He, however, said Bangladesh should emphasise diversification of its export items to boost its export volume.
