EU wants explanation about effectiveness of parliament, role of opposition

The European Union (EU) has wanted an explanation about the effectiveness of the Parliament and the role of the Opposition in Parliament. The 28-nation EU made the demand when the delegation of EU MPs met Awami League Joint Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif at the Awami League President’s Political Office in Dhanmondi in the city on Monday afternoon. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam was present in the meeting, according to a news agency.
