European shares advance

LONDON, July 9 (AFP): Europe's main stock markets rallied in morning trading Monday after Tokyo's main equity index hit a fresh seven-year high following a positive end to last week in the United States.
London's FTSE 100 index of leading shares rose 0.19 per cent to 6,703.10 points, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index added 0.50 per cent to 8,088.26 points and in Paris the CAC 40 gained 0.19 per cent to 6,114.47.
