European stock markets fall at open

Europe's main stock markets fell at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index losing 0.26 per cent to 6,777.45 points. Frankfurt's DAX 30 eased 0.07 per cent to 9,727.43 points and the CAC 40 in Paris dropped 0.21 per cent to 4,360.20 compared with Tuesday's close, according to AFP.
