European stocks close down

LONDON: Europe's main stock market indices closed down on Monday, with London's FTSE 100 sliding 0.26 per cent to 6,598.37 points.
In Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.45 per cent to 4,391.50 points, while the DAX 30 in Frankfurt shed 0.33 per cent to 9,555.91 points.
