European stocks end higher

LONDON, Oct 23 (AFP): European stocks rebounded Tuesday as investors shook off recent heavy losses sparked by renewed concerns over the economic outlook and a persistent credit squeeze, dealers said.
Near the half-way stage, London's FTSE 100 index of leading shares was up 0.96 per cent to 6,521.40 points, the Paris CAC 40 added 0.51 per cent to 5,690.40 and Frankfurt's DAX 30 climbed 0.47 per cent to 7,831.37 points.
